Carthago 143. thought i would clean the crud and algae from the roof. due to all the ancillary tackle this proved a bit of a failure with the long handled brush. my question is, will the roof support me ( 12 stone ) if i decide to hand wash it? cheers.

I wouldn’t walk on a roof, and if you did would only be bending over or on hands and knees. So I do my roof with a sponge from a ladder that I move along the van. It is easy to reach beyond the centre line, and you gets much better clean.

I clean mine from a ladder on the side although I did kneel on it, with a plywood pad to spread the load, when fitting solar panels. I'm 11st/70Kgs new money. Took me three hours to clean all the winter grime off on Monday.

Just buy wet and forgot, put it leave then wash with the long handled brush a few weeks later than repeat process again then put some on and leave

Haven't cleaned my roof for over a year

P.s took this picture to find out what size the solar is does anyone have a idea 🤷🏽‍♂️

I am 15 Stone and have (so far) had no issues walking on the roof to wash the motorhome, I do take a bit more care when near any openings and when getting on or off due to chance of slipping although obviously not all motorhomes are the same and I would check yours is strong enough before chancing it, mine is a Bailey Autograph.
