Roof bars for a fiat ducato on panel van… please help

Hi there.
We are looking to put a roof box on our Auto sleeper kingham..
we have rails running along the sides of the van, do we just need roof bars to go across the van, we have been looking but can’t seem to find anything that looks like it would fit. Is there a bracket that we would need?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Your rails are made by FIAMMA. I had the same and have just removed them and they were held on by a few rusting self tappers , so I would check how yours are fitted before expecting them to hold anything on the roof.

Not sure about your model or make but my Murvi is a PVC and in the roof grooves there is some secure fixings that I have used to locate my Fiamma awning too. Perhaps you have these also if your van is Fiat based?

Spot on comment. You can see the fitting points referred to above in your pic, and you will get a secure fixing if you use them. Problem will be if you have an awning it has probably used these fixings on one side already.

Have a look at these. We are getting a pvc in a couple of weeks and it also has the roof rails, was looking at these for the bars across the way.

I woudn't trust those FIAMMA side rails to hold anything unless you know exactly how they have been fitted.
You could use the Fiat factory fitted points with a THULE smartclamp system, but still a possible problem if an awning is fitted (unless it's a THULE awning), and you would have to remove the 'cosmetic' Fiamma ones.

I fitted a Fiamma 65s myself to the Fiat roof studs 5yrs ago and, so far, have never had any problems?

No problem with the FIAT fixing studs, I was referring to the FIAMMA rails that the OP is looking to attach to. I also have a 65s on the studs and would not expect a problem, it's what they are there for after all. The FIAMMA rails are not fixed to the Fiat roof studs.

If your sticking with Famia then this link won’t help but if you use the Thule rails they are pretty solid speak with Rose Awnings they give great advise and service

Don’t try and fix anything to your existing rails, they’re only held on by self tapping screws.
Take them off and cap the holes then cover in silkaflex to seal them.
Give them a couple of push pull and they’ll be off in a jiffy
