Does anyone know if the rollerteams charge both batteries off the solar?
I think ours is a 2018

We left it parked for 2 months and had to jump the van to get it started so I am assuming it's possibly only charging the leisure battery?

2018 quite possibly, but you may have to manually flick a switch, what charging system does it have, pics of control panels may be handy

I can get pictures next time I am at the storage, not sure on the charging system, standard factory fitted.

If your Motorhome is fitted with a Sargent EC176 PSU and EC362 control panel which has manual select operation for starter battery charging when on EHU I think you would need something like a Vanbitz battery master to be fitted to enable automatic trickle charging of the starter battery from the solar panel via the leisure battery (and the mains charger , when in use on the leisure battery)

No they do not, I fitted a CBE CSB2 0n my 2018 Pegaso to keep the cab battery topped up off solar.

You can check yourself. Put a multimeter on each battery when sun out - if over 13 volts then charge is going to that bttery

Griff097 The starter battery does not appear to being charged according to the displays shown and , as others have done , I think you need to fit a Vanbitz battery master (or similar) ,if you want your solar panel to also keep the starter battery charged , it is easy to fit and is designed to trickle charge the starter battery from the leisure battery when it is being charged by either the solar panel or mains charger when on EHU.
If you look at the vanbitz website the operation of the battery master is explained well.
It may also be worth getting the starter battery checked in case it has been damaged by going low.

I had a feeling that was the case, when I saw how low the van battery was, I will have a look at the vanbitz site.
I wasn't sure if I needed to keep anything switched on or anything in a different position.

Thanks everyone 👍

Griff097 If you do decide on a Vanbitz battery master they can be purchased from the Motorhome fun shop that is in the Classifieds section (on the top blue line of this page)
I will have a look, last time I tried a funsters discount for a steering wheel lock it wouldn't work for various reasons, but you could buy them off the same people on ebay if I recall, that was a different firm though.
