Road tax on new vans

Except that the tax paid on euro6D vehicles would artificially penalise owners if aligned to existing tables because the figures may be "artificially" higher having been derived under a different system to that used in creating the current tables.
I thought the WLTP figure are higher, so using the RTE ones would appear to be beneficial at present, rather than the other way round. :confused:

Honestly, I don't know what is correct either.
Its a right blooming mess isn't it! Shame on us all for thinking that the DVLA/government would get it right first time. :giggle:

WLTP are higher, but the current tax tables and rates were set using RDE, so using them for WLTP figures effectively penalises owners of newer less polluting vehicles. Think across the whole vehicle parc, not specifically motorhomes which had escaped emissions related taxation until now.

Can't disagree there. There seems to have been a distinct lack of authoritative information available, and some that has been issued from what you would think should be reliable sources seems distinctly ill researched or prepared ?
