Ripe insurance - first upset customer I have seen.......

I am not here to shoot Ripe down but have had competitive quotes and did consider them for insurance. But I also appreciate the brand is a new kid on the block. I can't further verify this complaint beyond knowing a colleague of the FB poster.

For those considering using Ripe insurance - Don't !
My camper was broken into, lots of damage and items stolen.
They got their underwriters (ERS) to contact me, and after sending photos of the damage, they told me they couldn't fix it, as 'they don't repair campers'


I found the 'they don't repair campers ' both concerning and very odd a response?

I don't think ERS are underwriters, they provide breakdown cover and recovery as far as I know

Edit : that may not be correct, they do seem to offer specialist motor insurance ?
They provide my breakdown cover through AIB which threw me

I gather he paid for repairs himself but then they still counted it is as a claim and removed 2 years ncb at renewal (he says he forgot to cancel renewal and let it roll).
