Rimor
Hi all,

First post, apologies if not in the correct area.

Looking for some advice. I am trying to obtain a replacement internal handle for a Rimor motorhome as the mechanism has snapped and the door won't open from the inside.

We have waited 6 months for this part previously.

Anybody ever seen this part before or know any other avenues to obtain?

Appears to be manufactured by an italian company called Sguinzi but they do not respond to emails.

M&C dealer says long wait.

Got a Rimor too and have the same internal door lock. If M & C say it will be a long wait, then they aren't kidding. Took eleven months to deliver mine from new. I'd advise you keep trying to source yourself.

You might be asking the wrong question. Perhaps you need to ask if anyone's internal door lock looks like your pictures. Rimor is part of the Trigano group, which has more than 20 MH brands, including Adria, Auto-Sleeper, Challenger, Mc Louis, Benimar, Chausson, Mobilvetta, Roller Team and Rimor. Certain parts do cross over between brands and models and it may be that the same part is fitted to other motorhomes.

Best of luck.

I would have a go at repairing that, is it metal or plastic?

It is plastic and is quite a clean snap. Possibly J B Weld or something like that? Quite ridiculous how thin the plastic that is used for a handle is.

Not long after posting this I actually found that someone has 3D printed another handle and have provided the print file, so i may try and get someone to do this for me.

Thanks for your replies.

I would glue the plastic, then glue a washer on the side, so that the rod passes through it. Possibly one each side if possible.
