just looking
Hi all

Looking for peoples views on the Rimor evo 77 vs the T-line 700, buying new. On paper they look very similar with the Rimor based on a Ford and the Roller Team on the Fiat. You get 5 seats with the Rimor which gives more flexibility (more of an added bonus for family day trips given payload impact, than a necessity) and the Rimor is cheaper (is this due to being Ford based or lower quality or both?)

Thanks

Hi. I don't know that particular model, but I do own a Rimor Europeo 87 plus (now the Superbrig 87) myself. We bought new from M and C up in Hull. Not hugely impressed, because it took them 11 months to deliver from when we put a deposit down at the NEC, and they used the wrong spacers on the aircon, so water dribbled into the living area, until we had it fixed. And the extra electrics gave us wiring that looked like a birds nest as we were told we we upgraded to lithium.

As far as the manufacturer is concerned, Rimor is pretty typical Italian. Looks great, but it is electic, to say the least. The internal lighting is bizarre. It is like an airport terminal. Internally, the seat covers and furnishings are an interesting shade of light cream, called "Shows Every Stain".

However, we went for the Rimor, simply because they were the only one that had the layout that we wanted (front electric bed, large shower and separate khazi), AND had a large payload. Went for the mid range 150 multijet Fiat engine (which is brilliant) and the comfortmatic gearbox (which needs a fluid change every two years). We also fitted Truma aircon, towbar and the fixed rear bed electric kit (means the garage becomes immense - about as big as a ... garage)

But it arrived with no sealant at all on the back window. None! M and C sent a guy out to remove and reseal it, but it shouldn't have happened. We have been wary of water since, but to be fair it is as dry as a bone.

We love our bus, but it has taken a lot of time (and money) to get it the way we want it. So, I would say, go for the Rimor, but look at every inch of it carefully when you collect it.
