Just back from France and Spain. It was great thanks for asking. However, I have reduced the value of the motorhome by reversing into a buildings guttering. Twice ! Different buildings, different countries. Also caught a low level wall. What I need , apart from more spatial awareness, is a high level sensor or camera . The van has rear view camera but it doesn’t pick up things at high level.

To be fair it’s unlikely you won’t look twice again!
Even telling your “ banks man” to get out and wave their arms.
Good luck with that, mine’s useless, stands in the blind spot and relies on shouting.
It’s always interesting. Fortunately she doesn’t read Motorhome fun so I’m safe.

Always, always go wide. Not sure? Get out and look. Saves a fortune.

Yep, been there done that. I reversed into a completely invisible lamp post base. I could see the post in the camera, but not the concrete base that was quite a bit wider and just high enough to catch the bottom of the rear end. Of course, being plastic, it has split all the way up and will need fixing soon. I hated myself that day.

I have the 4 view Alpine reverse camera, its great as gives you normal rear view, extra wide view, zoomed in 180 degree corner views and straight down view. Can clearly see what is level with van roof. Not cheap and only works with certain Alpine units but thought I would mention it.
