Fiat ducato bessacar
Hi everyone..I have reversing sensors on my fiat ducato bessacar..
The sounder is very high and hurts my dogs ears..she goes mad and barks and gets really stressed..
My cars reverse sounder has a low sounding tone and doesn't bother her..
Does anyone know of a reverse sounder which can be heard but not a high tone..
Thank you..

Warning.. This Vehicle Is Reversing.. Warning This Vehicle Is Reversing...

How about sticking some tape over the speaker ?

If can find the speaker get a can of spray insulation foam and give a covering 👍🏻

Back in the late 70's I originated a very successful digital speech unit for HGV's and coaches that had the 'reversing' warning in 5 languages, each selectable from a rotary switch by the driver when crossing borders. In those early days the A5 sized speech memory cards stored a mere 5 seconds of speech and cost £ 220 each which is hard to believe now when you can buy a key fob with 30 seconds of memory/speech for less than a fiver.
I also designed a digital bird scaring unit which was fitted to safety and security airport vehicles with the alarm call of seven different birds which are still in use at airports with jet-engined aircraft. I mischievously named the prototype the 'Flockoff' and had no trouble getting interviews with intrigued buyers. It's now the 'Scarecrow' and also used at marinas, large steel suspension bridges and industrial estates - mainly to discourage messy starlings. Sadly it doesn't work for pesky pigeons which don't have an alarm call.
After we sold the electronics business it passed through a number of companies but is still produced.

I thought the OP was asking about the sounder used inside as a reversing sensor warning?
Thats is what I understand .... .. ie.. the beeping sounder for the reversing sensors that gets faster as the distance closes in...

not a reversing warning sounder to alert pedestrians that lorries use..

I have reversing sensors

The one that beeps as you get close to an obstruction! Anyway I know drivers who could use the one you suggest.
Yes..thats it..the one that beeps as you get closer and then when you're about 18 inches away,it turns to a continuous sound so you know you are close....Time to stop...

My apologies everyone..its an internal sounder which let's me know when I'm really close to an object..I also have a reversing camera outside fitted at the top of the van but it's not very good...its cloudy and hard to see anything..

So you know where it is, I assume it can only have 2 wires to it ? so perhaps you could change it to some thing more mellow ?

Mine had a small switch on side of the sounder, you could select the volume
It was held in place with double sided tape and could easily be moved

Are you able to turn the sensor round so the speaker points in rather than out or move it into a cupboard or put foam over it 🤔

They’re cheap as chips on flea bay, swap it out. On my old Ducato I couldn’t see the indicator dash lights so I put one in the feed, it was annoying as f**k but I didn’t leave them on :giggler:

Mine is located under the floor/panel just behind the passenger seat. I just shoved some gaffa tape over the holes in the speaker. Quieter and much softer.
