Building a PVC
I've never had a wireless system, but when I bought my first wired one I got great advice and service from reversingcamerasuk. Might be worth getting in touch and discussing your needs. My old system is 5 years old and I plan to keep most of it but will have to change the camera itself as the old one on the Sprinter won't fit the Citroen Relay.
I'm in the process of doing something a little bit more complex on the new build based around an 8 camera Mobile Digital Video Recorder which I got from AliExpress whcih will allow me (assuming I can get it all to work) to not only view but also record from up to 8 cameras 24/7 and to monitor them remotely through a web interface from anywhere in the world. It's a bit more expensive mind you, but it does do quite a lot more!

If you have a Garmin Sat Nav, get a Garmin BC40 wireless camera.
Fitted one to our moho 2 years ago and it's been faultless*

* except for the annoying feature that switches screens when I whistle to a tune on the radio........ ;)

Could it be adapted to be always on for use as a rear view mirror? Thanks

Reversing cameras tend to be wide angle (typically >140°). They don't make the best rear view mirror substitutes as cars even a few lengths back become dots on the screen. Dual lens cameras use a much narrower view on the second lens (something like a 70°) to replicate the mirror view.

It can be activated independently of reverse gear selection by voice command. I have to say "video on" then it switches from the current map display to rear view mirror. Saying "video off" restores the map function. It's a very good image and visual object distances (traffic) are very similar to that shown by my drivers side mirror, but completely different to those shown in my near-side mirror.
Just don't whistle in between voice commands........ ;)

Hi any recommendations on wireless reversing cameras
As garry55 said, we used a BC40 on our ‘vans, and it worked really well - and I’ll be installing it on our next ‘van too…… (y)
