Well that’s about it Plan B worked, they should have listened to me :sneaky:

It’s now sat on the concrete and the yellow truck is coming for round 2, but I’m going for breakfast, your roving reporter signing off.

Breaking news, the stellplatz at Mainstockheim has a little ferry over the river, apparently hand brake alone does not hold your car on the slope, no she wasn’t in the car.

They have found the car, just hope it doesn’t pull the fire engine in.

Errrrr.... It didn't go unnoticed here, sunshine..... SHE wasn't in the car.

As a responsible reporter for Motorhome Fun ;) I only report the facts Joy, I was told told a "lady" got out of her car to look at the timetable and when she returned it wasn't there, being a lady that made the driver a SHE:ROFLMAO: I'm so pleased the car was empty though.

Looks like your having a real good time Martin don t forget the chocks crossing the river

I hope this is not too premature to ask Martin but how is your solar and Lithium bank performing.

I'm starting to research the whole Lithium subject but I'm finding it tough going.

All the best,

Andrew

P.S. I hope the weather is better at your end today than it is here in the NE.

That would be extremely unprofessional, and is highly unlikely. ;)
They will be using a winch capable of the job, powered from a PTO, with the handbrake on, the auto box in Park, and wheels chocked. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

Surely they don't need to use all that noisy equipment Jock.
It looks like there's enough of them there to just lift it out.

(y) came over on it today no problem,

On the bikes;)

The weight plate said something about 10t and 8t, as we fit into both of those I think it would be OK, but i'd still rather drive round.

Hi Andrew

It did threaten to rain earlier today and it came on cold but the sun is out again now and it's nice.

I thought I was seeing a problem with the solar a week ago in that the regulators were not starting up on a morning even though the batteries were down buy 100ah or so, if I disconnected and reconnected they were A ok, as I have changed the factory PP for MPP I did tentatively mention it in passing with the factory service guy but stressed that I understood it was my problem but he offered to have a look and check setting which he confirmed as OK, since then it all seems good but we have been on hook up as it was free at the factory, well when I say say free you have to buy a MORELO first and now it's included in our €8 pitch fee.

Simple answer though is the LiFePO4 are great and when we have sun which is now getting low the solar keeps on top of demand, we have not used the gas kettle since we came over a week ago and if we drive we are fully charged again in no time off the "Lade-booster" B2B to you, the combi charger/inverter with network compensation is new to me but works a treat, on site with 6 amps max so set the incoming mains to suit and then just run the heating on 1kw and then the microwave at 1200 and 1200w coffee machine all come out of the LiFePO4 via the inverter, so thats 14 amps off a 6 amp supply.

Hi Martin, it sounds like a mighty capable system indeed - I'm sure that most of us will be jealous, I am ;-)

It was also very nice of the Morelo techy to examen your new MPP upgrade as I certainly couldn't see many other brands or service departments doing the same.

Just remind me of your Lithium and solar sizes again please; was it 460Ah and 400W?

All the best,

Andrew

Lithium is only 320ah and solar is 520w.

I think they get a lot of things right Geoff, not everything but a lot, for example a massive stellplatz for big vehicles and while you are there you might just go into the showroom and be tempted to something you didn't even realise you wanted/needed, help yourself to coffee and biscuits or cold drinks from the fridge in the showroom, service centre for all your servicing needs gets people back to MORELO rather than their dealer who might just stock other brands as well ;)

You surely don't need another lithium Martun, we have just lasted 6 nights without EHU, batteries were still showing 12.7 when we left

X2 140AH gel. X2 80 watt solar
Electric kettle 2.2kw, microwave, coffee machine and of course my hairdryer :ROFLMAO:

But you might be right Paul, the jury is still out but I do feel a bit left out as most Palace specs seem to be 4x160ah or even 4x210ah now.

Martin, can you also buy spare parts, for instance I could do with another wire rack in the pull out ‘spice rack’ or what ever they call it and another shelf in the wardrobe. It would be great to have a wander around their parts dept (like a kid in a sweet shop) 🤣🤣

Just had a quick look in the factory showroom, had our temperature taken and all forms filled in for tomorrows service visit so we are good to go at early o'clock.

So into the showroom we go, well it would be rude not to ;)

10th anniversary Loft, 10 year sticker on the back, silver trim around the graphics slightly different electrics in the side locker and not sure what the inside packs are, but it looks like this .........

View attachment 428990

This is the Loft FB version so that is French bed and Big sofa, its in the light "life" wood finish and has the "novelle" kitchen area.

View attachment 428992

TV in the side locker but I guess you can spec it in the front overhead, but on the 10th it might be fixed spec so not sure but certainly on a normal factory order you have a choice of 4 different places for TV.

View attachment 428997

I think this is a Palace garage with a pretty cool looking electric scooter in.

View attachment 428999

Slightly different electrics on the 2021 model and new side lockers with flush internal hinges,

View attachment 429005

This is a Palace with the optional glass habitation windows and glass side panels.

View attachment 429002

AND on the 10th anniversary special the centre MORELO badge lights up:giggle: yes I am easily pleased.

View attachment 429008

And in the corner of the showroom their very first proto-type with the famous green table (well in some circles anyway)

View attachment 429010

The floor was a bit spongy in the bathroom especially so hopefully that is sorted on production now.
Decent double bed, not one of them 2 singles and move a lot of bits about to make it look like a double......my partner said it looks nice so I'm in with a shot, just need ernie to pick my numbers out 👍

That's impressive...my 2x 100ah and 220w solar ...I'm down at 12.3 or 4 every morning ...usually around 90% and that's only lights at present no heating or TV ..
And that's apparently a larger bank than recommended for my van and charger ☹️

Shelf for wardrobe might be a bit "model specific" but I am sure that you could contact the service guy with you vehicle code,

IMG_3699.jpg

apparently this is all they need to know everything about your van, of course you have to use your own number as 1 it won't fit and 2 I will get the bill :ROFLMAO:

We bought a few bits but they were generic, coat hooks, froli bed springs, water pipe and a tin of paint.

PS I was tempted to leave the autocorrect for froli (frolicking bed springs)

Do they have an accessory shop at the factory Martin?

If you know what you want you can ask for it in the service reception, are we talking caps, mugs, towels and dressing gowns or something technical?

And even more impressive because these x2 Deta 140AH gels are original fit so in their 16th year.

Ah, but you and Jen are fortunate enough to only tour the warmer places Martin.

I'm following a guy (a boater who works for Victron) who has 3 x 100Ah new Victron Lithiums and 2 x 320W panels and he's already considering a fourth 100Ah Victron battery to his bank - but his charging regime includes a fair bit of input from a dedicated alternator too.

His daily power usage is 100-120Ah per day.

It sounds to me as if you're well sorted though (y)
