Return ferry crossing

Hi all… is it necessary to book a return ferry in advance from dieppe to new haven? Can we just turn up on the day? TIA

Probably ok but it’s a busy route AND more importantly prices at the port are expensive . We arrived early snd tried to change to the earlier crossing and they wanted £100 extra

Never been on that route but wrinklies get 20% off if booked in advance on the phone.

We use that route 2 sometimes 3 a years boats are never busy but for best prices I would book at least 3 weeks in advance

Just check online on the day or day before for price, if under 60 book on line or over 60 cheaper by phone.
I couldn't cross once because I couldn't download my locator form - office at Dieppe charged £10 for next sailing
