Replacing Tyres - What about the spare

Looks like I need to buy another one to go with the other six I’ve just bought if going abroad. Away try and keep all 4 corners on the same tyre, but never considered the spare as well.

Continental vancontact camper have the M/S and also the 3 peaks symbol.Got them fitted to my van in December 225/75 R16 118R £780.
I was struggling to find any Info eairler, if you do a Google search using that name you find then on the Continental site.
But if you go direct to their main site no trace of them just the standard camper.

Agree with that in the end I called them for info and was guided after I explained what I was looking for however only Kwikfit were able to source them for me .Scottish Highlands.

Unfortunatly Toyo don't appear to make the Observe in 215/70 15 - they do make them in 225/70 15 though.
After much serching I am now thinking of the Continental conti vancontact 4 season but there is also the vancontact camper 4 season. Is it a good idea to go for the camper or would the ride be harder?
It's a real struggle to confirm whether tyres have the 3 peak symbol or not!
I have just ordered 5 Toyo 215/70R15 tyres from mytyres.co.uk

You defo need to keep on top of the space saver. Mines never been used (yet 🤞🏻) and I do check pressure at the same time as the road tyres.
Should be higher than the others check on the tyre.....

Were they the Observe Van or others? I knew you could get summer tyres but not winter/ all season.
I have just had an email from mytyres.co.uk saying that the the Observe Van tyres 215/70R15 Winter Tyres that I have paid for and are due for delivery are not available. They are still on their web site but now at £147.59 not the £97.79 that I have paid. I shall contact them on Monday and request a refund.

I'm looking at replacing my tyres with all season ones. One issue I have with the decision, is the fact that tyres such as the Michelin Cross Climate are directional so the spare would only be able to go on one side. What have other people done? My spare is out of date but unused.
Throw it away and loose some weight vans really donot need a spare which is why most are no longer supplied with one.

A full size spare is standard on Ducato vans it's only Motorhome converters that do away with them so they can charge you silly money for a spare as an option.
Our current motorhome is the first one we have not had to bring a spare into use, I would never travel without one.

My 2001 Mobilvetta still has its original spare wheel and tyre - never been used - I carry it and might use it in an emergency

Not used in 21 years - why would I buy a new one?
