Replacing a Spinflo Caprice 2040E Spark ignitor

Hi Fellow Motorhomers
Has anyone any tips on how to get into the top of a Spinflow Caprice 2040E cooker top? The push button ignitor has become intermittent so I want to have a look/replace it. No obvious way as I can see. The glass faceplate that the knobs poke looks stuck to the metal framework behind. No give in the seams at all. I removed the three gas burners but the electric hot plate is obviously fitted from below. No obvious ways in.
Any tips advice gratefully received as usual.

Looking at the diagram the push button he needs is basically a switch for the spark generating module.

Thinking about it, have you checked if it is powered by a battery box probably in the pan bit at the bottom.
Can you pop the switch out?
If you can you can check if it works or if it fails the contacts and that’s giving you the intermittent fault.

Hi All
Thanks for all your suggestions. The switch is powered from the habitation area 12v electrics circuit not its own battery. The ignition switch looks like this and I have ordered one from ebay at £16. Could try an alternative 12 v auto push switch but until you get the old one out, you don't know the dimensions and clearances etc. They are discontinued (thanks Spinflo, Dometic etc) and as they are now rare, motorhome spares shops sell them for extortionate prices if they have them in stock. It looks like a cooker out and dismantle job. No easy fix on this one!!!!!!
