Chausson
Good morning.

I’ve just found this group and joined in hope of a bit of help.
In a past life we have had two Murvi camper van conversions but sadly have been camper less for several years…but no longer!
With a much reduced budget these days we have bought a small 1989 Chausson.
Low mileage and in pretty good condition but our first couch built, had a caravan for a while so assume a similar set up.
I want to replace shower tray and sink in bathroom.
Does anyone know where I will find a shower tray? Is it as simple as measuring existing one and looking for a generic replacement or must it be model specific?
Thanks in advance.
Rachel

You could get yours redone by speedcoat. They can sort any issues then coat it and guarantee it.

I had my drop down sink and shower tray re-coated by Speedcoat last year. Very pleased with results. The sink and shower tray had cracks and the sink back was broken.
They do it in place so no dismantling required, which can be major work in many vans.

It depends if you're thinking of replacing it because it leaks or to make it look posher. If it's because of a leak I'd try the speedcoat option as others have. If it's to make it look better I've heard a lot of stories saying you need to totally remove everything in the shower room to get the tray out it could be a pretty big job

As far as we can see there are no cracks or leaks in shower tray.
Speedcoat unfortunately not really an option as we are in France.
Not planning to bring it back to UK anytime soon. There’s no problem with gets parts etc. over to us hence my original question.
Maybe I’ll have to learn to live with the strange beige colour 🤣

It is the dismantling involved that is daunting as well as obtaining the parts. If not cracked, then some people have had good DIY results with painting. I will see if I can find a thread.

I had my shower tray speedcoated due to the beige colour it went. Horrible isn’t it. I’m sure there are other coatings such a bedliner which you maybe able to apply yourselves

I’ve looked at the Rust Oleum epoxy painting kit.
Might consider it but nasty stuff to use as far as I can see. Be interesting to know what others think.
I’ve used there other paints to revamp kitchen on our barge and worked really well 🤔

Hopefully Speedcoat will be able to repair it , but if not , www.caravanpanels.com list many shower trays and sinks for caravans / Motorhomes and may have what you need.
Just be aware - I ordered something from this company, but the part they sent was wrong. Took me months to get my money refunded after returning the part. Look up reviews online.

Thanks for the heads up 👍
