Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I own a 1997 Peugeot boxer pilote. It has a lot of leaks coming throught the aluminium rail. My husband tried removing one side of the rail to reseal, and it was surprisingly stuck down well still! Anyway he damaged it and it's bent in a lot of areas, so I am looking to replace it. I have searched everywhere online and plan on visiting a caravan breakers today to take a look. Does anyone have any ideas where I might source something that could fit? Thanks.

Have the same issue and am considering going to Germany or Poland to get a scrap one.

My MH was hit in the top overcab corner many years before I got it and they bodged a repair, rail more or less intact. This caused serious water ingress that has resulted in an (amateur) internal overcab reframe job over the last two years.

Then I hit it again off a stupidly low overhanging tree just outside the MH area in St. Feliu de Guixols, and have had to cut out the offending, unrepairable front curve of the frame. I tried a fibreglass repair and it looks like a dog's dinner.

My MH is an Lord Munsterland Caravan (LMC) which is a low-volume Burstner subsidiary and largely unknown outside Germany or Poland, where it was imported from.

I have conducted many searches online for replacement rails, and drawn a blank. No point in going to a local breakers as they won't have the model I need - I have seen literally 3 others similar to my van in the 5 years I've had it. Lovely to be different, till you need a strange bit!

I hope they'll have a showertray for the same model that isn't cracked to hell!

I'm thinking of making it a holiday, but at 80kmh top speed, I'll need a few months!

On my first motorhome some 13 yrs ago, I ripped the side trim (the type with rubber inset) off one side by miss judging a tight corner, I removed the trim on both sides and replaced it with a 1 inch wide aluminium strip sealing it with W4 mastic sealing strip.
