Hi all. My 85Ah in the Rollerteam is 5 years old and has died. Anyone suggest a good 5 year warranty 110Ah battery at a fair price?
Thanks

Advance Batteries are quite competitive on price and have a choice of up to five years guarantee.
I have used them for leisure and starter batteries for both our van conversion, the motorhome and managements cars.

What kind of battery is it? There are four basic types: flooded with filler plugs, flooded sealed, AGM and Gel. You should replace with the same type, unless you are able to adjust the chargers for the new type. Varta make different types, so more information from the label would be helpful.

You haven't stated which battery you are intending to change.

Make sure that, not only is the Battery you choose big enough in capacity terms, but is of the right type to fulfil it's purpose.

By that I mean that, although a 'Starter' Battery and a 'Habitation' Battery would provide you with 12volts, they are totally different when it comes to their internal makeup.

A Starter battery is manufactured to give 'short, sharp' bursts of energy to get the engine started whereas a Hab. Battery is manufactured in order to give a discharge at a slow rate.
