I have a Kontiki 669, with a built in microwave. It's gone rusty inside on the bottom, probably door closed without letting the steam escape first. But anyway, I want to replace it but can't see how to get to the wooden blocks it seems to be fixed to, as I can't see any way of removing the grey plastic cover surrounding the microwave.

Any ideas?

(Image is huge, can't figure out how to size it.)

Any screws into the sides, or base, from outside the enclosure? Perhaps hidden under cover stickers or trim pieces?

Hi Kannon Fodda - I can see four white pegs between the side of the microwave and the wooden surround, but they are not screws and don't seem to be through the plastic surround. I can't see any other screws and no removable trim to have a look behind.

I could pull the plastic hard, but I expect that it will break.

No idea as to your mh, on my Autotrail V-line the microwave had a metal front surround secured from the outside of the enclosure through the side panels with screws concealed by cover stickers. With the surround released other fixings and battens actually holding the microwave could be released.
