Hi,

Has anyone applied for a second French Long Stay Visa? If so, can you advise how you filled out Step 3, which asks;

'Indicate here if you have previously resided in France for more than 3 months in a row'. It then asks for your 'residential address', which is rather tricky to answer when you're touring in a motorhome.

We toured in 2023 there on a Long Stay Visa and are preparing to apply for another one for this year.

Many thanks

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, sorry I can’t help… but we’ve been considering applying for a long stay visa in France. How did you get on with your 1st one, was the process straight forward?

Yes, the process was very easy.We got 10-month visas and the whole process took about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the link to the rejection thread

I'd imagine that when you initially applied you put that you were touring in a motorhome OR put down a fixed address of a campsite? If so.....presumably the answers will be Yes and 'Touring France in our Motorhome' or put the address you used to obtain the previous visa.

An agreement with a French campsite would be the logical address.
(or better still, a friend with a French property)

No country is keen to have 'itinerant' travellers with a visa in their country.

Spain has already re-introduced the need to every tourist to have an address for their stay, you can expect France to follow suit soon and they were the last European country to remove the requirement about 25 years ago.
