I am looking at buying the Renology 40A B2B charger.

Good price but what do people think of this make?

Thanks

I can't comment on whether Renogy B2B's are any good or not.
However I had solar kit from them which didn't work and had parts missing.
I had a big headache dealing with them as although they claim to be in the UK ( I bought from their "Renogy UK shop") they are in fact based in China and just drop ship.
I had to deal with China with their requests for video and photographs of the missing parts, how do you do that even ?
They wanted to send me parts for me to solder on replacements and finally offered me a partial refund if I kept the non working items.
Complete joke.
Eventually I got a refund through eBay.
Absolute joke to deal with and because of that experience I personally would never deal with them again.
Their Trust Pilot reviews are shockingly bad.

I've just bought a renogy 30a dc-dc but I haven't installed yet as fogstar haven't delivered my new battery yet. However it looks good quality and everything is there. I've also bought a 100amp flexible solar panel that is good.

I have just bought and installed Renogy 2000w invertor it seems to be well made i'm happy with it. I know It came from within the UK to me, not direct from China as I had all the tracking details, on top of that it was too quick to be from China.

Yes it is delivered from within the UK but it is drop shipped from China.
Any problems you have to deal with China.

Renogy Solar UK, quite clearly based in China

I gather fogstar haven't had they drop shipment from China yet

to be honest I think it’s either Renogy or Victron. I have always installed a mixture no other reason apart from cost. Victron is good but damn expensive.

I have installed Renogy to all my builds (qty 6) and never had an issue. Only one gripe at the moment

The DC2DC units the 50amp ones are great as they are an MPPT also so less messing about and with a Bluetooth dongle attached can monitor most things I normally fit a Victron Bluetooth shunt to measure what’s going out of the battery. And then a 2000w inverter with pass though so it can be fitted inline and when on shore power works as a pass through but when off grid you have the sockets in your van still active.

The gripe is the renogy M1 Smart Control panel that they sell here in the UK is great but we don’t have access to all the smart things through Zigbee for example sensors and alarm stuff and the inverters we have in the UK don’t have the smart interface like in the states so we just can’t interact with everything

I have some zigbee smart switches from yes you guess it from China.

I have just built a waste valve that you can drain your water via the smart app or remote control and hoping to find more cool uses but the answer is Renogy are ok, the Lithium batteries are pretty good as they have a decent BMS

I have just got a Renogy inverter but after reading the reviews, which all seem to say the same thing, good quality bad service I paid extra to buy from Amazon not directly from Renogy on case of any problems.

I have had a renogy interter a couple of years now, no problems,

I use Renogy and touch wood never had to use them but I must say Eco Flow is a nightmare bought a delta power box and it came damaged sent it back they lost it and three months later still no box no money :( my mate bought a drone off Amazon had it 15 min and he crashed it Amazon accepted a return and refunded 50% so keep an eye on any small print

I think if in doubt buy with a credit card ??

+1 for the Renogy 3000w inverter
+1 for the Renogy 100w solar panels

Has anyone gone down the m1 renogy route yet just want to see as if may be worth opening a new thread
