Hi All, I have finally had it with absorption fridge and going to fit a compressor fridge (Vitifrigo C85i). However, I have removed the door and removed the 4 screws to either side of the front entry, disconnected the gas, but it still isnt moving. I am guessing it is 18 years of crud sticking it, but just thought I would ask the brethren here if there is anything I have missed, and any other tips and tricks?
Thanks

Well thanks all. It was an absolute twat to move, tighter than a Nuns gusset, and Autotrail did not in anyway design serviceability into the assembly fit. I had to rock the unit from the top back and forth to loosen the tape and mouldings. So alternating between going in through the top vent, then shuffling to the bottom vent to push the lower frame in toward the interior. The cabling was particularly lazy by Autotrail. Instead of a plug and socket for the 230v and the 12v connections, they had crimped 3 cables into a single large crimp end. In case you are wondering, it went out through the hab door with about 10mm spare, pretty tight.
So, all's well that ends well, and I await the new fridge on a pallet tomorrow.
Yes when I...
Is there an air vent on the back, to the outside world?

Yes, 2, but they arent connected to the fridge. They are the Dometic vents.
It may be sealed with tape around the back edge to the frame (in behind the vents). It should be but ..............

I removed mine last year. There were 2 screws either side and some sort of black gunk sealing the sides of the fridge to the cabinets either side.
It took some pulling to get it out.
