Removing plastic cover on external door hinges.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I have a Bailey 765 motorhome and the top door hinge (one of three) appears to need tightening, not where it is hinged to the motorhome but on the outside of the door itself. Each hinge is covered by a plastic cap, which presumably just push fits into place. My question is in relation to its removal. It looks as though you just prise it off but I am reluctant to force it in case I break it. Any tips or advice or if anybody has done this I would be grateful for some information.

A Google search found a hinge cover like this, shows the clip arrangement, it may be like yours.
