Trying to remove this top panel to thread a dashcam feed cable through. I have removed 2 screws at the front of it - it seems quite loose but appears fastened at the other end by some means or should I be bold and just pull it?

I'm sure someone has the answer. Comments appreciated.

Thanks for your prompt reply. So do I need to remove the radio to get to those?

You will need to remove the radio and the metal cage the radio sits in to access the screws. When you get that out you will see two hex screws about 50mm back and 25mm in. I have now cut slots in the radio retaining cage to make it easier to remove the screws and access all the wiring behind the radio.

Can't see if you have a double DIN radio fitted. IF you do you will need to slide it out a bit to get to the additional two screws hiding behind it. If you have just got the empty slot, you will need to find out how to take the liner out to get to the screws.

Thanks, it's getting complicated! How easy is it to remove the vent. Is that screwed in. I can probably get my wire to it's destination if I could remove it. (It's the vent to the left of the radio).

Are you going to mount the dashcam on the dashboard? If so, it could be subject to a fair amount of vibration.
If you're mounting it at mirror height I ran the permanent power cable for ours along the headlining, down the A pillar and down the gap at the end of the dashboard. It then connects into the fusebox at the drivers knee (assuming a Ducato \ Boxer \ Citreon base vehicle).
If you are definitely wanting to go through the dash \ panel check the pop out sensor cover immediately in front of the panel shown in your photos as we use that to get the USB connections at the rear of our media centre out. There's no sensor behind ours. Might save you drilling another hole.
