Good Morning, can anyone help me with my gas problem.

I have 2 x 11kg Gaslow bottles with external fill up point. I want to remove one and I did ask Gaslow and they kindly explained over the phone but I'm stumped still/forgot.

Bottle 2 has 3 connections, 1/ goes into c/o valve, 2/ is connected to bottle 1 , 3/ goes to the external fill point.
Bottle 1 has 2 connections 1/goes into c/o valve, 2/ is connected to bottle 2.

The way it was explained is that I swap certain hoses around and that's it, number 1 bottle is removed. If someone could spare some time to explain what I remove and what I connect that would be much appreciated.

Solution2
Hi, not a stupid question at all. We recently went from big A class to PVC. We swapped the 2 x 11kg cylinders over. But the Adria has Webasto diesel heater and generally we find we use much less gas. So to save weight and space have decided to remove one cylinder. We also have an 800w induction hob (this will raise more questions in sure). We have though, got an external fill hose mainly as we are planning on visiting Morocco in January.
One w20 blank for the change over valve and take out the no.2 cylinder (3 connections) swap the filler feed to the no.1 inlet (from the no2) and away you go.
Does this help?

If you remove the ones marked X, and move the other bottle over the put your standard cylinder where you removed the other bottle
and re connect all should be well.
Remember to check all connections with leak spray after connecting

Thanks For your help. I only want to be left with the one cylinder. I know I am left with cylinder No 2 (the one with 3 connections). Pic attached is not mine but the same setup. Thankyou.

You need to be left with your cylinder marked 1 above. It just requires the two connections, one to filler point and one to supply the van.

I'm pretty certain Gaslow person when I called said you are left with bottle 2. I agree I don't get it either, hence me asking here. I will call them in the morning again. Was just hoping to do it today.

Exactly as #4. The gaslow bottle you retain is as shown in the photo with just one connection to the fill house and the other out to the regulator. Also if you intend to run with just one bottle and you have a dual input regulator, you must blank off one side of the dual input regulator. See photo. Or use a single input regulator

John. I don't know why it uploaded two photos. But they are the same and that is a No 2 bottle in a twin bottle system that Gaslow were talking about. (A No 1 bottle has a fill hose connection with both 2 connection points. Like the attached photo. (Although I have one of the connections blanked off at the moment..)

ahhh, sorry.
Ok then as per below...and change the regulator so it cant be switched,
tbh Id be tempted to stick a standard propane in for redundancy

On a single cylinder system (which I have) you definitely use the bottle with two connections not three.

Yes that does make more sense to me but the call with Gaslow has confused me. Im sure I asked if I need any blankers and she said no. I will call them again in the morning. Cheers.

And I've just seen this on Gaslow website "The Gaslow W20 Blanking Cap 01-1684 is used to blank off a manual or automatic regulator changeover head if connecting only one cylinder.".

Cheers guys for you time on this.

That's the exact cap that you can see on my photo of the regulator. 👍

Solution
Ps you can always sell the no2 bottle depending how old it is

You won't save any space as you are not supposed to store anything other than gas bottles in a gas locker.

Why do Gaslow make it complicated all other manufacturers just have an inlet and a an outlet so when fitting two bottles you just fit a tee piece on the first inlet.

Might be worth getting one of these or similar for peace of mind
