Hi there Im having diffulty accessing t

his connector to the egr valve ....how do i disconnect it thanks...

Press the red mark. But it does look to be covered in crap, so this would need cleaning first. Which is why you are probably struggling. Ideally a good blast with an airline

If really stuck, poke an item through the square hole, but with care.

Maybe a flat blade screwdriver in this slot to release catch

I think Manic is on the right track. I always struggle to work out which way to 'tweek' the retaining catch to release this type. Once you've done it you will wonder why you didn't work it out sooner!

I dont think so! That would jam the locking tab!

Thanks everyone ....so its up i pull it away from base.... very hard get at without dismantling stuff at which im not great at

A trick with this type of connector is to take the pressure of the locking paw. Do this by pushing the connector inwards (as though you pushing it back on) tightly before pressing in the release button (red above) at the same time.
