The table in my Rapido 640 is in the wrong place for me and I want to take it out and replace it with a demountable one. I am having a problem getting the old one out . It appears to be fixed down with 6 screws , but when I took them out it would not move . I tried a little persuasion but no luck.
Is it secured in any other way , or has it just "welded" its self to the floor covering ?
Any help appreciated. Pics attached

I've removed / moved a couple of Pilote ones over time and have found them to be "stuck" to the floor not with adhesive of any sort just being clamped in the same position for a while.
Try giving it a push once all screws removed.

Some have a hole in the double floor and are partially held in place by that.
Try lifting it vertically. I removed to top first on mine to make it lighter and easier to handle.

I had the same problem earlier this year in a Pilote G600 with a table made by Ilse-Technik. A couple of people on here gave me a way to release it by introducing a rigid wallpaper-type scraper between the circular foot and the floor. I inherited a very solid old thing from my father which I belted in quite forcefully with a rubber mallet. I had to piggy-back a more flexible second scraper next to the first too but it did release it without any damage to the flooring whatsoever. After re-tightening the countersunk threads underneath, holding the foot to the pedestal, I replaced the table only for the swivel to jam a few days later. When I tried to get the table up it had fixed itself to the floor again! It did come off easier the second time though. There was no sign of any adhesive. In hindsight a gasket of cooking foil or baking paper might be worth trying in future.

It is only held down by the 6 screws, just give it a bit more welly! I´ve removed mine from my Rapido 646 twice to fit new flooring, and I´ll be removing it again to reposition it soon.(y) Be careful when it frees, it is heavy!

Possible you are not giving it enough welly. It is incredibly heavy and does stick to the floor a bit but only held by those screws.i removed mine and replaced with a much lighter one.

If it’s like mine it is just the screws holding it on. Eat some spinach and show it no mercy! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I recently removed mine from burstner ixeo,
Once screws removed it was solid too,
I took advice from forum here and used a wall paper scraper and gently tap it under bit by bit all the way round and finally it was free, I very slightly marked my floor but nothing to noticeable .
Good luck

Well its out ! Surprisingly easy when we got vigorous with it . A paint scraper gently tapped under , a good heave & off it came & only a small mark on the flooring , which I can probably get out with a hot air gun .

Thanks again all (y) :clap2:

Haven't decided yet . We will probably make our own the size we want , buy a set of mounting bosses & a chrome tube ,& position it where it is better for us . Also it means we can demount the table if we want a clear area for any reason . Another advantage is we are also saving nearly 20 kilo in weight , that's a lot of wine ! :france::wine:

I moved the huge rapido table yesterday. It was in the back of the wardrobe in the spare room. I put it under the bed. Ridiculously big and far too heavy for a motorhome. The replacement is a nice teak boom arm table that swivels out of the way when not needed

I removed our large, heavy drop down table sometime ago. Way too heavy and gets in the way.
However, finding a decent and effective replacement that meets all needs is a bit like finding hen’s teeth.
We are currently on a sequoia table leg and a round top. All dismountable and big enough for the 2 of us.
But, being a single centre leg it can be a bit wobbly 🙄

Our square table in the Pilote is way too big for only 2 people. It folds in half but is then not particularly usable unless we sit in odd places. We would be interested in changing it but I don't know what with. If anyone comes up with a good idea please post some pictures.

I removed the table from my Pilote and replaced it with this, cost £50. You do need strong thumbs thought to slide the four locking mechanisms into place, red coloured upper right in the photo.
The original table fits in this box, a bonus.

Slots in place behind drivers seat and is hardly noticeable with a cushion there.

That is interesting but possibly a bit radical for me. My wife is more enthusiastic and open to the idea. The photo gives an excellent impression because your van is the same but a mirror image of our LHD version. Even the furniture fabric is much the same; nightmare for red wine drinkers!

The table can also be used outside obviously. Being T-total l don't have the red wine problem, coffee though:LOL:

I'm guessing you want the make of the table. It's a build your own special. The base and leg we bought, then put a bigger floor mounting unit on, to make it the same diameter as the old one so we could use the existing screw holes, and to raise the height a little. The top was a wardrobe shelf which I cut and the wife painted. Both tops have a slide on fitting the same as the base. The bigger top fits snuggly behind the front seat when not in use.

I find the Laguna table leg very useful tho expensive, I bought a 2nd mounting plate so I can use it with the swivel cab seats if I wish. Design your own table top

I guessed it was a make up, I should have been clearer, what make us the floor mount and leg please.

Ps; is there any movement on the table top because of just a central leg?

Carabest . This set up is easily available . The mountings are aluminum, the leg is70 cm by 60mm. There is no wobble ,the bigger top is 80 x 50 cm . As a bonus it will turn as well, with a little lube .

We removed out Rapido table when we first brought the motorhome as it was massive and you could hardly get around it, we had one specifically made to our measurements and bolted it back onto the original leg mount. Much better and still large enough to eat from and small enough to get around now. The only issue is that the original table made up the bed at the front but we dont use it anyway as we have an island bed and a drop down bed so still allows 4 to sleep if needed. If i sell the motorhome i would put it back in so that it would then sleep 6 but not otherwise, no idea why they make them so blinking large anyway its crazy.

That took some finding, these were taken back in 2018 wouldn't go back to the massive old one now.
