Our Burstner Eliseo PVC is fitted with dual independent roller blinds. The black out blind pulls up from the bottom and the fly screen can independently be pulled down from the top.

On one of the side windows the lower black out blind is reluctant to retract especially in the cold. The blind tends to crumple up for the last part. The lower roller would appear to need more tension or needs less friction from the blind. See photo below.

Before I get stuck in to dismantling the cassette, has anyone had a similar issue and a recommended fix for this issue?

Thanks!

I have had similar on one of my windows. It was worse in the winter months. In the winter. I stripped out the blind.Videos on u tube how to do this.I re tensioned the spring a bit fiddly.Lubricated all with silicone spray and all ok since.

Had exactly the same issue with a couple of mine too. As Masman has said, take it down, clean it all up and re-tension the roller. If you leave the blackout screen pulled up when you're not using the MH then it is pulling on the tension spring all the time so it can slightly stretch and then can't fully retract the blind.

Thanks for the replies. I should have thought of YouTube! I will take a look. (y)
