We have a modern Laika, with one of those Reich tap operated dump valves for the fresh water tank.
You turn the knob 1/2 turn and it dumps and leaves 20 Litre in the tank, turn another 1/2 turn (no more) and it dumps the remaining water.
Anyhow ours has stopped dumping - it appears stuck closed
You can turn it and get the 'click' at 1/2 turn that suggests it is at the 20 litre point and you can feel a kind of rubbery reistance.
Then you can turn another 1/2 turn.
I am aware of them failing open, but find no reference to them failing 'closed'
Its a nightmare because there is no access in the top of the tank, only through the side behind the rear wheel and leafspring. Its impossible to reach in far enough to get to the tap mechanism.
Some great italian design !
Any suggestions ot ideas would be welcome
