Hi everyone we booked to stay at the Red Post Inn Bude only our second trip in Moho. Looked at pictures on Pitchup looks like lots of space big pitches as we have a Burstner Tag axle.
Then we got a phone call next day sorry we are canceling your booking as you are to big, now I've seen twin axle caravans on their site just as big.
Anyone been there or have been turned down it just seems strange to me. Booking was for the end of September.

Try the Plough Holiday park at Plough, easy walk into Bude. Still got a pub methinks.

Good Chippie in the street behind the Main drag, good value Cafe/tearooms almost opposite.

Great place Bude, away from the throng that flocks to the tourist traps like Padstow, St Ives and Newquay. Nice beach there too just as good as Perranporth

Red Post is about 2 miles up the road from me, only been in once when we moved into the area, think it has changed hands at least a couple of times, few other places in Bude and surrounding area.

Pough Hill has a large park, but I would say the area is really busy with all the holiday makers so you might struggle....

Thats behind the visitor centre. I always thought it was just overspill parking for the motohomes too big for the car park. Handy to know if its is a actually an Aire as we haven't ventured there with the MH yet as usually stay with inlaws. May be worth ringing the Tourist Information/Visitor centre

There is a CL on the opposite side of the road to Red Post but its not very big. Or there is another campsite further down towards Holsworthy.

We were in Bude a few weeks ago and it was busy. Noticed a few MH's just wilding it in some of the laybys, There are a couple further on past Red post where the wood carving is and some about a mile before Red Post.

It’s not an aire, no overnight parking, from the Bude tourist office website “The Cornwall Council parking tariffensures visitors must pay for each space their vehicles occupies, but the overflow field offers large spaces – so you will only need to purchase one ticket! Unfortunately, motorhomes and campervans are prohibited overnight (from 11.30pm to 8am).”

In light of the DVLA reregistering debacle, I wonder if a 'Van with windows' counts as a motorhome or campervan? Just Sayin' (No G)

Yep thats the one Had to look up my sites diary, haven't been there since Xmas 18 with a CMC rally.
When(if) you walk into town it'll lead you to the top end of town, S/market there, handy if you are in need of supplies on the way home.

Have a friend who lives in Bude. Apparently rammed and the locals are starting to get seriously annoyed about the liberties the tourists are taking re parking, toileting etc

We used to drag the wobble box down to "Bood" every summer and stay at Upper Lynton campsite. Lovely walk along the clifftops into town but a bit of a climb back up the hill on your return if you go by the road.
