Apologies if this has been asked previously.

"Hitting" France within next couple of days and would like to ask Funsters if they could recommend the best or at least a good option for my 4g mifi on Payg.
Have been using Vodafone in Spain for last couple of months which has completely satisfied our needs but France, I know nothing!

Thanks

Orange have 'Let's Go' data sims with top ups at various prices, I have 2Gb for a month at €20, the coverage is quite good but with all service providers in France there are poor reception areas. Don't know the initial cost of the sim, I have had mine for a few years but I don't think it was a lot, with a non French credit card top up's have to be made in one of their shops but are activated by phone. I usually get the assistant to do that for me but if your French is up to it it would be possible to buy more than one top up and activate later.

Probably to get a Three SIM in the UK on the "like home" scheme and use it over there - their Prepay data is probably cheaper than the French equivalents. e.g.
3GB (lasts up to 30 days) £15
7GB £25

Works in Spain as well, and you can activate it in the UK, and will have no problems to having to buy and register when you arrive.

Cheers

It has to be 3.. 10gb. For £15 a month on 30 day contract. I think it's similar for payg.

Three has worked fine for me in France. However, I have found that the speed has not been very good in Spain where I often use Vodafone.es

I also have 3 sim and whilst it works and theoretically connects with a decent signal the speed has been very poor in France on Bytel and 20654 (I think) can't remember the exact name, I suspect the speed is throttled somehow. Could not play any utube clips or video links in the forums or newspapers.

I agree, the three sim works but is slow even when it has a good signal here in Spain . I used O2 when I needed a fast connection and where I am now there is no three signal at all and O2 is poor so I am using a Europa sim (vodaphone).

My experience is you need more than one!

Currys do a nano sim for 1gb on 3 cost £3.99 their shop part number 034340
equivalent cost from 3 is £10
