Just looking at getting some decent financial advise regarding my Pensions.

Ive done the free gov.uk telephone chat and its a bit mind boggling.

So, I was thinking of sitting down with someone I can trust. I do have some clients who offer the service, I just do not wish to mix things.

Any suggestions welcome please?

We have been using Standard Life now ABRDN, they will contact your pensions providers to get the details of the pensions plus all other investments you have then come up with a plan based on your circumstances. You need to do a budget but they can plan everything for you based on your needs and circumstances.

They can only give advice on their own offerings so not independent but we were not bothered about that as we have our major pension with them, we did get an independent local person round but they were no where near as professional as ABRDN, nor did they have all the online tools to help you.

Cost is nothing and its only if you decide to go ahead you pay £499 plus an ongoing percentage of the funds they manage for you so you can try them see what you think but go elsewhere if you want.

I use an independent firm based in Chorley and they have been very good. If that suits for when you are in Manchester please PM me.

Martin Lewis's site has some reading to help you understand your options. Will be worth your while getting up to speed with the basics:
