We're staying on a Saturday night in a couple of weeks, need to be as near to Warlton Street as possible (walking/bus is fine for us).

Doesn't seem to be any obvious places on p4n or pitchup.

Any personal recommendations?

Search for sites, there is the Oxford club site says open all year and close to centre. Sorry not been, good luck

Also £55/night :) I'll keep that in emergency reserve ...

Is there not a Park and Ride there?
Apparently, yes.

Unfortunately it has closed down 🙁

The CCC one is still there, not great reviews and 55 smackeroos.

Since posting I've found a couple of park & rides that allow high sided vehicles and £8 for 24hrs. No explicit mention of motorhomes/sleeping overnight.

Yeah, just found that, too. It's booked solid unfortunately.

No it closed a few weeks ago.

Oh - I wonder what I was looking at then? Maybe a cached webpage or a review - can't remember now. Hey ho, ta.

How about parking in Abingdon and getting the bus in ? I think that there are some Motorhome parking spaces in the town centre .

Do you mean the place in Abington, or the ABington road P&R? According to the Oxford council website there's no sleeping allowed in the P&R.

I think there is Motorhome parking at The Hales Meadow Car park,
Abingdon, sorry I haven’t stayed there myself. This is from the car park info , no idea if you can stay overnight ? I must admit Oxford is a pain for parking , we always get the bus there.

Motorhomes

Motorhomes may use Hales Meadow car park. Please ensure that your parking is sensitive to other users and that your parking is within the marked bays as much as possible.

If you are sleeping overnight please call 01235 470118. If unanswered out of hours please leave a voicemail and a contact telephone number. Alternatively please email via carparks.southandvale.uk@sabagroup.com.
