Recommendations for Cam Belt Replacement in Doncaster

Hi all

Sorry if I’ve posted in wrong part of forum

I am looking for any recommended garages / mechanics that you have used or would goto for a Cam belt replacement , particularly in the Doncaster area if possible . It would be on a Fiat Ducato 2.3 130hp 2015. It has been replaced before but just the belts were not the pump this was done by the previous owner ( not close to me ) its just coming around to that time again where I need to be budgeting to get it done , I’ve heard and read a lot of things about whether changing water pump at same time and issues with broke bolts /studs etc and causing major repair work , so a little worried to as and what needs to be changed and hence a reputable garage/ mechanic required. So you knowledge will be greatly appreciated

The main reason for changing the water pump at the same time is that the timing belt needs to be removed to access it. So rather than paying twice for basically the same job you may as well get it done at the same time..

Hull, not Doncaster but we had ours (2014 2.3 150) done in 2019 at North East Truck and Van which is a FIAT Professional, as well as IVECO Truck service and repair place.
They fitted the full genuine FIAT kit, replacing everything and it came to slightly over £1k including a full service and MOT.
We are now in that same situation again, 5 years on but not a great deal in mileage, and in a dilemma. The place we use now has said yes they’ll do it but don’t waste your money, it should be mileage not time so they’ll inspect it.
That leaves me taking the risk but it’s also a risk getting it done.
Who’ll be working on it? Have they lots of experience doing them? What kit will they use? You could end up worse off getting it done rather than leaving it. I’m happy to travel to the Doncaster area if somewhere very well regarded, with a great deal of Ducato experience pops up, so I’ll keep an eye this. Ours is due in July based on time. Not answered your question but vented my dilemma.

Not solved yet but saw this thread and have been giving it a view . It may help both of us or anyone else who is in the same predicament
