We will be on the A28 South bound and looking for somewhere to sleep between Rouen and Le Mans, any one found anywhere that's not to far off the motorway,. Paid or not I'm not worried.

Thanks

Harcourt, free with tokens for services if you need them. Boulangerie of course.

Nonancourt, 6 places, nice town with an ALDI a Lidl and a Le Clerc. Free aire with small par by the river.

Chateau Chanteloup. We stay there if we are watching the racing.

Pont de L'Arche - not quite Rouen to Le Mans but pretty close. Free at this time of year, try and get a central bay as it is a bit slopey on the ends. Right in Town Centre too. Tends to get busy later in the year but was empty when we passed by a few days ago.

A nice French lady allowed me to stay for free for a one night stopover at the Municipal at Bernay. Their payment system was down. :france:

Who knows, you might get lucky too! Edit - ooops, that sounds rather saucy.

We've stayed a few times at the Intermarche in Seés... about 10 mins off the motorway. Dedicated MH bays are on the right hand side of the carpark.

Yes, not long after it opened. Close to a park you can have a walk around and if you turn right out of the aire, under the bridge and carry on along that road there is a small supermarket on the left within walking distance (well it was for us ). There is a bus into Le Mans but we didn't use it. We liked it there.

If you turn right and go under the bridge make sure you have hold of your dog ( if you have one) .
Theres a big bully in the first house after the bridge was merrily smashing his way through the crap wooden fence at the end of his garden ( we picked the dog up and ran back )

Theres the parking area by the city walls.

Free. No services. But yards from the steps up into the old town.

Montbizot, just north of le Mans - free aire with services (if they're open🤔). Next to playing fields - very good for dog exercising.
We've stayed twice and had a good, peaceful night's sleep.
The aire in le Mans is right in the urban area and would be very noisy at night - but very well located for visiting the beautiful old town.

It wasn't too bad when we were there one September, no worse than any city centre stopover.

For anyone else that reads this thread in the future -: we stayed at the above aire €12.60 including tax nice little aire 16 spaces some with electric nice and quiet once the trains has stopped running about 10ish, to be hoest I couldn't really hear them.We didnt do anything there as it was tipping it down with rain, had something to eat and sleep. Were at Camping Larrouleta tonight and do the long drive again to Camping Tropicana tomorrow.

Thanks again all for you suggestions
