I do a fair bit of tinkering with engines, lawnmowers, plumbing etc .... At an informed level of DIY. Well my best description anyway.

Cable crimpers.
I often resort to a variety of old pliers but would now like an affordable crimping tool for up to and including engine battery terminal cables.

What's a good one for the money? Not interested in £850 hydraulic units I just googled!!!!!!! :giggle:

I used this one for a few years now, I find it really easy to use and crimps up to 70mm

These are good .. 5AWG - 20AWG

They crimp to hexagonal shape better than the normal crimp shape. Good range aswell

I use a pair of these for the thin-walled bootlace ferrules for screw-down clamping, I'm not aware that they will handle normal heavier-duty copper tube ferrules for cable termination.
Do you have a pair and have you used them on the normal heavier-duty copper tube ferrules?
