About 18 months ago I remember reading a couple of news items to the effect the the manufacturer's of mobile phone where going to change the charging sockets to a USB format and in so doing standardize recharging.

Since then I have heard or seen nothing on the subject, have you?

Doug...

hi not seen anything about this although most mobile phones on the market at the moment do seem to charge from a usb socket which also is used to connect to PC for downloading images from the cameras.

My HTC Wildfire has a USB lead which plugs into either the 3 PIN plug they provide or a USB port. So does the Kindle charger lead.
Mike.
