rear view mirror

Mixed opinions really, some seem to work fine and some not. I’ve just fitted a wired one, bit of a pita feeding the cable but really good results 👍

I have a wired on in my van van. It works but can mist over in wet weather. I have a wired one with screen in the dash in the motorhome, and it's much better and easier to see in bright sunshine

I use the Garmin bc-40 with Garmin camper satnav.
Mixed results so far, it's a little slow to link up when needed but when it does it works very well.
On two occasions (so far) it failed to link at all for unknown reasons. At this point I'm cursing assuming the cameras fallen off, but no it's just failed to link.
That's in a 6 metre coachbuilt.

There's a difference between a reversing camera, which is generally very wide angle and looks at your rear bumper. And a rear view mirror camera that's normally narrower and looks up the road. Some reversing cameras are only designed to work in the limited time you are in reverse, they overheat when on for extended periods.

My previous van had a dual lens camera with the rear view mirror showing the view up the road all the time. When I hit reverse, the other camera kicked in to help with delicate reversing.
