We've a high level brake light/camera fitted, wired to a Sony XAV AV3005 DB, with 'connects2' dedicated wiring harness for our Vivaro 2017 LWB campervan. All good, then suddenly no 'video signal' on the Sony media unit when reverse is engaged. We've tried a factory reset on the Sony – this worked once but doesn't seem to be doing the trick now. All other functions of the Sony unit are okay. The reversing sensors on the Vivaro function correctly when reverse is engaged. Any thoughts?

Probably unrelated but, had a reversing camera failure that I traced to a connector in the headlining that had separated. Is your wiring concealed and possibly over strained?

highly likely to be a bad connection where the unit picks up the reverse signal. This is behind the head unit usually

It's okay

Reverse cameras aren't that reliable. Water ingress is often the cause of intermittent signals.
