I'm a newbie
I have a reversing and rear view mirror camera fitted with IR leds. It's great during the day on both, clear on reversing camera at night but useless on rear view camera too bright and glare, even when parked up at home with nothing behind.
1st pic rear view, 2nd reverse camera.
Any help would be appreciated

Over the last three rigs I’ve owned, I haven’t found any solution apart from having a very convenient switch to turn the rear view on/off after dark.

I’ll watch this thread though to see if anyone has a great rear view solution.

The only thing that comes to mind is to ensure you are not getting glare back from the LED’s into the lens. Even with no glare from the LED’s if you have a vehicle behind you the image will completely wash out.

I had the same problem when I first fitted our rear view camera and I found it to be the infra red light at night was causing glare because the sun shade over the camera was painted white and reflecting the infra red light across the camera lens.
I painted the underside of the sun shade matt black and the picture was then as clear as day.

I have my second dual lens camera from Reversing Cameras UK.
No problem at all.

Works perfectly.

I can't remember but it may have a lighting feed??

Also the rain shield is way up high.

I’m going to remove the power to my IR LEDs which will then stop them causing the glare. My mate has done similar to his with great results.

I had the same problem with my Garmin camera when I first installed it at home - solved it by turning off the security light above the garage door that the moho was backed up to :whistle2:
