rear camera

Picture of the camera and van type may help provide some answers, was it working at one time,? Is it the camera or the screen that at fault?

When ours appeared to have packed in I found it was switched to a different feed in. Probably done when adjusting the monitor after it had been knocked out of position.

I think you need to start again, explain what system and camera you have, model, age and fault symptoms.
Sorry to hear about your illness, but with no information people can't help

FYI people tend to dislike capitals in a post as it feels like your shouting and demanding

Well, we have a little more information than before. It worked before and hasn't been used for a bit. You probably also have an unrelated problem with your caps lock key. Perhaps even some more information would be useful, such as the type of camera, the display system, who installed it, what sort of system it is etc? Some photos of the system would be useful. Also, some description of what is not working. Does the screen go blank, or corrupted, are there are lights displayed or not displayed when they were or were not before?

Try unplugging all the connections & plug them back in, it could be bad contacts

What is the manufacturer?
Is the screen shared with the entertainment system?
Does it work with the entertainment system and then go blank when you select reverse?

Water ingress to camera that has entered the wiring and caused wiring fault. Ours did this - initially when blurred because of water in the lens and then went blank as it was completely buggered by the water.

Worth checking settings in the av system though. Ours randomly defaulted to off in the settings once. Maybe with sitting for a year the battery has gone flat and the system reset?

Make of van, year of manufacture, make of camera, is it linked to info/entertainment system, make and model of infoentertainment system. All of these may help people give suggestions.

Diagnosis is quite easy with a bit of trial and error.
See if you can find the cable from the camera into the van. At this point, there should be a connection to an extension cable going to the front of the van. Check the plug and socket and find a cheap, backup camera with a matching plug, on ebay. E.G. Camera or Camers . Its usually a 4-pin or an RCA with its separate power cable.
Plug it in and if it works you will know the vans camera is u/s.
You can then confidently buy a quality unit to replace it.
If still nothing, it could be the extension cable. Check this by pluging the ebay camera directly into monitor.
If still no picture, you may be looking at a fault on the monitor.
One of the cables at the monitor is marked reverse. With ignition on and gear in reverse, this cable will show 12v on a multimeter. If not, add 12v from a battery and see if you now have an image.
Good luck

We have an Autotrail Delaware with the Media package as the OP described. Same thing happened to us (blue screen) and I couldn’t see how I could get the the back of the screen to check. Went to Road Pro and they fitted a new camera and Rear view mirror screen bypassing the problem, but it wasn’t cheap. I prefer the view from the “mirror” but feel I should use the media package screen for other cameras, Maybe switching between two rear high mounted rear cameras to assist with the “Angles Morts” problem.
