Currently using a 10a pwm solar controller as it's wired thru my electroblok which is only rated for 10a on the solar circuit, it's a 2 battery controller so charges the leisure battery and trickles the cab battery to keep it topped up (I have an alarm).
Now, from the hymer display, even on bright sunny days I'm only really seeing a max output of 2-3a (if the meter is to be believed).
In theory, could I replace the pwm with a dual battery mppt controller of say 15 or 20 amps without overloading the electroblok given the low output I'm currently seeing. Reason I ask is because I'm struggling to find a "recognised" 10a dual battery mppt controller but if I step up to 15 or 20 amps I have a good selection to chose from.
Batteries are dual 100a/H lead acid hab and a single heavy duty lead acid cab, solar panel, no idea as I didn't fit it, but I've measured low 20's on the raw output and it measures about 4foot X 3foot.

Cheers

Wire the mppt direct to the two batteries and ignore all the built in crap.
That way you can double your charge amps without worrying about overloading the electrobloc

As pappajohn says, you are very unlikely to see 10 amps from any solar controller, so OK to upgrade to any mppt controller.

A perfectly good point, but you will likely lose the charging current on the Hymer display
I don't know how it is wired on a B640

I'd like to keep it thru the electroblok for now till I fit my smart shunt in the future so thanks both for the replies I'll set about sourcing a 2 battery mppt of higher amperage 👍
