Hi

I am looking to re upholster my 2010 Burstner Nexxo T660.
The local Upholsterer has asked me to remove everything that needs re doing but.........
Does anybody have any idea how to remove the piece that sits behind the Seat over the water tank, with the two Seat Belts. I can obviously remove the cushions and the headrest but getting this piece which is covered in leather off looks problematic!
I don't want to break anything but if we are having this job done it wont look 100% if I cant get this piece off?
Hope you can help!

Mine - a Knaus - is just fastened with velcro strips...

Hi
I have taken the cushions off which are velcroed into position - it is the bit behind the cushions which backs onto the Kitchen sink and drainer. It seems very secure and doubt that velcro would hold it but then again??
Thanks for your input!

Mine’s the large bit too...
I have removed it - to place the belts behind - as they are not used.. and were “denting” the cushion top..

Sorry - can't advise. Our 2009 T660, on the Ford base, had 2 standard headrests that pulled up (like a car) and the seat back cushion slipped behind. Does it pull upwards??

Have you looked inside the kitchen cupboards to see if there are any fixings there ?

Hi
Thanks for your replies.
I have had another look and it is actually material stretched around a metal frame, not a board as I first thought!
The frame isn't fixed via the Kitchen Cupboards and wont move when I try to lift it or pull it!
I am seeing another upholsterer tomorrow who may be able to advise.

Thanks again!

Have you tried lifting it? It may well drop into brackets - it being metal and heavy. Burstner always seem to a clever/simple method of fixing bits.
Also you need to remove those buttons/nails on the side pieces to reveal the screws for that bit

Hi
Tried lifting, pulling, tugging I am worn out!!!
Looks like it may be fixed to the floor behind the Water Tank - it is very secure and holds the two travelling seat belts so may not be as easy as I thought.
Thanks again for all your advice will keep you posted!

Just an update!
Found an upholsterer recommended on her that will come out and remove everything take it away and bring it all back and re fit - now that's service!
He also knows the type of Motorhome and how to remove the piece we discussed.
Off to see them tomorrow to choose fabrics.
Cheers
PS about 30%cheaper as well!
