Hello all, after travelling along the terrible back roads of Mull our sink waste pipe jiggled loose. We have managed to reattach the waste by pulling the sink out from above, but are struggling to re- fit the sink. One of the clips which clip sink to the work top has broken (which will now need replacing) but we seem unable to tighten the rear clip at all. Will we need to remove the cooker to get at this properly? If so is this a massive job?

No. Disturbing the oven, involves disturbing the gas supply. Don’t go backward with a simple job, and cause even more issues.

The sink will be rotted before the oven so how do you access the clips under the sink to refix them if you don't remove obstructions (oven)

We had the same issue with our Hymer B544 - the flexible ribbed pipe seems to shrink over a period of time, in fact so much so it broke one of the saddle clips holding it into position. I ended up having to release another clip to give me the flex I needed to reattach it then I cable tied it onto the plastic spigot until I bought some new pipe and replaced it with a longer length. I had to remove both large drawers to get access behind the kitchen unit but your van will obviously be different.

If they need to ask the question. Should they be the person who plays with the gas system in a confined space?

Hi all. Thanks, I did suspect that I needed to access it by removing the oven, just wanted to check I wasn’t missing something obvious! We won’t be doing it - I have no desire to tackle gas connections. I expect it will be costly, but we’ll take it to a Moho repair shop.
