Hi all I am after thoughts of what may have gone awry. We have rapido 9068, it came with lithium leisure battery as standard, I have replaced the original with 2 matching renogy 100ah wired via fuses and bus bars and fitted a inverter. The van is parked across the front of the house so we leave the control panel on to use the van wi fi in the house, I normally put it on ehu at home but have been having issues with the cab battery holding charge for more than a few days so since last sunday have not had it plugged in and monitoring the cab battery via the tracker app.
On friday the control panel went off so it seems the hab lithiums have gone flat, the test meter on the battery terminals is only showing 0.65v. I put it on ehu overnight, that has 240v where it enters the van and both trip switches are ok.
Is it too cold to charge the leisure or have they shut down due to low voltage?
Any thoughts where I should start checking things out would be appreciated
Tia chris

Do you have an app for the batteries? If so what does it tell you? If below a certain SOC/voltage the BMS may well have switched off any further discharge, so you're meter will show a very low voltage across the battery terminals.

Charging should still be possible, but some smart chargers do not switch on if they don't see enough voltage to be sure a battery is connected. But you can fiddle that if needed, just start the engine which should get things going. If the temp is much below 5°c they may not charge unless they have built in heaters, which might take a while to get some heat into them. Any App will show this somewhere....

Was the inverter left switched on? - they can use up to 1amp per hour if left switched on with no load (depends on the output size of the inverter 2000w and above will be around 1 amp so 24amps per day.

Sounds like the BMS has turned the batteries off. As Adrian says they don't always start up with a lot of chargers, the normal trick is to connect a Lead Acid battery across them that should kick the BMS back into life.

Thanks guys, think it was the inverter as well as hab screen etc . Are going to give it a run now so the b2b can give the batteries a boost and hopefully kick them back into life

Houston we have lift off 👌 been out for a run all has switched back on the hab batteries are back up to 22%. Put the ehu back on so by tomorrow should all be hunky rory again
Cheers guys , I now know why I pay the £20

Going forward I would like to isolate the inverter, it is located in the double floor under a false bottom of a cupboard making access awkward, would it be preferable to do it with a large switch located in an accessible position which would require longer heavy cables or a relay kind of arrangement located close to the inverter andusing the original heavy cables and an easier to fit trigger switch located somewhere handy.
Any thoughts guys?
