Rapido over-cab drop down bed

The over cab bed in our 2007 Rapido isn't working as it should. It just drops with a bang unless we (the two of us) lower it slowly and then it's hard work to get it back up! We're looking for a fix for the hydraulic struts. Any ideas or any idea where we can get the parts. Seems nigh on impossible at the moment. We've tried a lot of places. We're trying to sell the van but need to get this done first. Thanks in advance.

Most gas struts are of a relatively standard design. The dimensions and force rating are normally etched on the strut body. So you might be able to get a replacement relatively easily.
