Hi guys friend of mine is looking at a Rapido 9048df early 2016 model 3.0l with comfortmatic on 44 ton chassis which is pretty rare
Got 24k on the clock dealer reckons owner travelled to Spain and back couple of times a year
Registration is FV65 YSY
Just wondering if this was a funsters van or if any body knows anything about it
Thanks
Gary

I think Gary probably missed the decimal point/comma out i.e. 4,400kgs.

I wonder if a couple of times a year was for the whole winter if so the interior could have a fair bit of wear and tear. The mileage wouldn't worry me at all

Try to get a long warranty from the dealer that doesn't exclude the clutch and gearbox - read the small print!

Otherwise, factor in the cost of a possible clutch change when considering the price. A known risk for 3 litre with ComfortMatic even at 24k miles. In October 2013 Fiat Professional issued additional guidance on operating the heavier MHs with the Comfortmatic gearbox including use of manual mode on steep mountain roads with sharp bends and also when reversing.

Looks a nice tidy van, I have a slightly older one we love the space the lay out gives you.

I seem to recall that at 25,000 miles its time for a cam belt change so that needs factoring in to the deal.

I have 2008 model with 78k on the clock we bought it new and have been all over the UK and Europe, its comfortable, roomy and has never let us down. The build quality is great, nothing has come adrift of fallen apart and we have been over some very rough roads indeed. I haven't seen anything else better so will not be changing it for another 78k miles. I doubt you would be disappointed.

Thanks for all your replies it was originally purchased from Brownhills but never had any services completed there.
