Morning all!

Highbridge motorhomes in Somerset have this 854f for sale at the moment.

https://www.highbridgecaravans.co.uk/products/motorhomes/HCCQF149519/2022-rapido-serie-8f-854f

Does anyone know anything of the history of this particular vehicle? I’m considering making an offer on it but just wanted to double check it hasn’t got any dark secrets in its past!

Many thanks
Well it hasn't got a lot of past, so can't see why anything could be wrong with it but same as any other van give it a good checking for damp .
Looks a nice van but way out of my range so not looked if there is any big problems with them.

My worry would be the payload. Only 3500kg MAM seems tight for an A class of that length. Do not take the dealer's word for it and get it on a weighbridge before committing any money.

If we did move forward it would definitely be plated. Did that with my last one 😁

I would not believe them. For example it is not a 7m length van, it is 6.7m so their website is already wrong.

btw the MIRO on the 2023 model is 3050, so depends on any dealer fit options.
The 2023 is a bit different than the 2022 though, notice in the 2022 the rear lounge doesn't have a back cusion on the offside, they have added this in the 2023 model. No idea why but it was also called out in MMM when Peter reviewed it.

Thanks Nick, yes - I’ve seen that review.
I didn’t know about the added back cushions on the offside for 2023. It seemed a strange omission on the 2022 model we looked at.

I have the 883F from new in 2017 and have to say although the 8 series is their entry level range it has been my favourite van in 5. I've had autotrail, a fairly old adria, chausson and elddis, the rapido is the best by far. Oven is a good enough size, no wasted space for seperate grill, can't stand 4 burner hobs rather have the worktop (don't even use 4 at once at home!). The 854f looks like a really nice upgrade in a number of ways, I'm only put off by the drop down bed as my next van will be a 2 berth other than that it would be a real contender for me, rear lounge with space for bikes is rare!

I'm holding out for the compact options to come out with a rear lounge :giggle:

We drew up a pretty comprehensive list of “must haves” and “nice to haves”.
This model ticks all the must haves and almost all of the nice to haves so I’m sure we’ll end up with one 😁
