Hi We have just booked for Alegria Del Mar, and wondered if anyone would be interested in joining us for a rally from 1st April 2020.

I’m in the process of confirming how many places/cost etc and will post as soon as I know more.

We had a wonderful rally here in 2016 and 2017 and it is a very friendly, English run site who can’t do enough for their customers. The link to the campsite is:

www.campingalegria.com/

If you want to see more photos and get a good impression of the site, look at their Facebook page - Alegria Del Mar.

Absolutely, there is a good dog walk outside the back gate straight onto the beach, which also allows dogs. I will check but I don’t think they charge for dogs and 6 amp electric is included in the price.

English satellite tv is available on each pitch, I think there is a nominal charge for that and Wi-Fi.

Yes we are interested, still a few variables to align but we enjoyed the rally a few years ago.
Cheers
Ed

Ed, did Shirley see my post on Facebook this morning, I think she has been hacked!

Great news - we are about 9.5 in length; would this be OK or too big?

We was on this site about a week ago the rally pitches are super pitch style and you can pay extra for 10amp and uk tv connection .Nice bar/ cafe and good walks or cycling to nearby towns. My only small criticism is not the best beach and directly at the back of the site between the site and sea it's is overgrown and used by the dog walkers who don't clean up I doubt wether these are people staying onthe site.

Prompt reply from Alegria :

Yes, dogs are welcome and there is no extra charge...

Yes, there is a 6 amp electric included in the price if anybody would like to have a 10amp they can pay 1.70€ extra per night.

Satellite t.v is 20€ per connection.

Internet for 1 week is 10€, 2 weeks 15€, 3 weeks 20€...

We can accommodate the 9.5m on a normal pitch but might not be with the rest of the rally... depending if there are 10 units or 15 units... i will be putting the rally in one area or an other....

As always, Lisa and the staff are very helpful.

IF you are disabled the extra charge for electric at the higher rate was waived when we went in 2017 got loads of photo's of the area if you want to see

We would be very interested in a rally too. We will be towing a car on a trailer, would this be problem?

No problem, there is plenty of room on the pitches and a large carpark.

OK Photo's of the area that we did visit
Please remember I was in a mobility scooter in 2017 so we didn't go far

Peniscola is the next town with a castle (from GOT too) and good food places and a sandy beach

Benicarlo beach has a couple of nice bars/restaurants in the harbour, the lee of the harbour is sandy the rest is pebbles with lots of Sea glass

Obviously Peniscola and Benicarlo are linked by a beach path which is cycle friendly (though tell the pedestrians), the Castle at Peniscola is a focal point of the bay. There is hidden away a place called Papagayo Park - which is a free flying parrot /parakeet park with butterfly house

Hope all of you who visit enjoy yourselves, we will grounded for a while until Stephanie has her pacemaker sorted and settled

See you on the road sometimes
