I'm a newbie
Good Morning,

Well you have been warned ! Today's question.

The Radio in my 2011 Boxer is useless, had to drive two and a half hours without being able to listen to Eddie Jones' excuses, ....mmm maybe not so bad after all. I am looking to replace with a set that can take a USB Flash Drive and has DAB.

My questions:
Any thoughts on a good reasonably priced unit?
Does anyone know of a good installer in the South Hampshire area ( we are based on Hayling )?

Until it's sorted I will resort to singing, so acording to my wife this is an urgent enquiry.

:lipssealed:

Loosehead Dragon car audio...he's based in Portsmouth ..he fitted my motorhome alarm at my house...great guy .neat and tidy work...discussed everything before starting and price was competitive...his reviews are good too

There was a guy on Hayling who fitted an alarm a few years ago. Worked from home. On main road with flag pole in garden. On left heading south.

Think about getting one with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can then get your phone to do all sorts of clever stuff, including playing music and navigating on the radio screen at the same time. Costs a few quid more but might be worth considering.

I had a radio fitted by Halfords, very cheap but did the job, had bluetooth too, it was a standard size though

Radio is dead On demand is King.

My Son asked me the other day if we "happened" to have any double DIN DAB units lying around that we didn't want! (Good thing being a motorhome business with all your children in the business, bed thing, questions like that LOL)

My answer was that the best thing to do is download a radio App and Bluetooth it to a Bluetooth speaker

And you can download a load of music, Podcast Flats and Shanks is the best in the business, books, whodunnits the lot for the odd time that you don't have a phone signal

Is it your radio that's at fault or is it poor aerial reception?
If it is and your existing unit has all the functionality you need could be a much cheaper option to fit a "wing-mounted" aerial.
