Most of my life in one form or another
I need some advice on a few nitro radio controlled cars my wife and I have inherited.
Are there any car nuts on here?

I am sure there are a few on here but even more out there in the big wide world, old RC cars have quite a following actually and some are fetching many times more than they were originally sold for, might depend what they are though.

Only had one and that was over 30 years ago then RC aircraft took centre stage.
Mardave Marauder....hours of fun.

The Baja 5a is a beast with a pull start engine . Not far off being big enough to ride on

I love the 5B until I got my first Losi 5T..

I’ve still got a very VERY special HPI Baja… full carbon chassis, I brushless converted it and run on 12S…

I’ve also got a 88cc powered Losi 5T. Spent ages porting the engine, reed crank case, dyno figures are just under 30hp 14k RPM.

Are there any on line clubs where it would be worth putting them up for sale or do you think ebay would be best.
I think Andrea wants to keep the Hyper gor sentimental reasons.
If not we will hang on to them and ill get them running .
I might need some help with that last bit.

What fuel do they use and where do you get it from. I assume its not just unleaded with 2 stroke oil.

Usually methanol or nitro methane with oil mix.
Only place local to me for it is the model shop.
I have around 25 litres in the garage but it's years since it's use by date so won't burn with a lighted match now

Found a model shop in Chesterfield that deal with Rc cars so ill probably pop in for some advice on starting them .
They also sell the fuel ⛽
